I can't believe this show is closing! I'm so glad that the public got to experience the phenomenon that is Audra, along with a stellar supporting cast.
I haven't heard that there WON'T be. My guess is probably so since it's not an "unscheduled" closing I doubt they'd get the pissy attitude the shows that do have "unscheduled" closings seem to. But I haven't been since last Friday.
Testing...got it and PMed you back.

"Of the 4 shows going out this weekend, 110 is the only one I will truly miss."
I totally feel the same -
This show, for me, was so unexpected. I know it's an old musical, and even though it wasn't really flashy or trendily modern, it was perfect and timeless the way it is. I had such high expectations for Audra, and she exceeded them so quietly and confidently. A big surprise for me was also how strong the supporting cast was - especially Steggert, Collum, and Kazee.
It's nice to know good shows still come to Broadway, even though they might not be blockbusters. Updated On: 7/27/07 at 04:32 PM
Actually Collum and Kazee are billed above the title with Audra so I wouldn't really consider them supporting.
As for 110 sales, the past 3 shows have either been sold out or very close. And I believe the rush is subject to availability and lately row NN has been selling pretty well. You can give it a try in the morning though. Seats in the mezz are great.
I can't wait to see it again tomorrow night...I did TDF again, I was lucky last week to get orchestra seats that way...I have a feeling I won't be so lucky this time

I saw 110 last night & it was just as amazing as I remembered it. Price was there (with a cast on his right wrist, does anyone know what happened?), and the cast was GREAT.
Kazee was FANTASTIC, he wins the Most Improved Award for the year. When I saw the show in previews I did not like him at all. Not at all. But last night he really impressed me.
Audra's a Goddess & one of the nicest people ever. Nothing else to say about her.
... as for the tickets, I called about the "splash seats" & they're sold out for the rest of the weekend. I asked if they would be having rush tickets over the weekend & they said no (which is why I bought some IMMEDIATELY for last night), if anyone is on the fence about seeing this show, GET OFF & BUY TICKETS NOW!!!!
Tap ~ No, I meant of the other shows closing this weekend. I liked the other 3 (Grey, Gypsy, and Beauty) alright. But 110 moved me more than the others. Beauty would be my second choice because I've loved that story for my whole life.

IMHO, Steve's "Evening Star" has grown by leaps and bounds. I love how playful he's gotten as of late too. He cracks me up in the fight sequence in "Melisande". :) "Oh, no... Uh-oh."

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
I'm not going to the last performance, but I saw it tonight for the first time. Someone gave me tickets and they were 5th row center. Woohoo!
Anyway, I'm a huge fan of Christine Ebersole's performance in Grey Gardens and I was almost equally wowed by Audra tonight. Just extraordinary. I will say that it took me a little while into the first act to engage with her, but the second half of the first act and the second act were brilliant.
I had previously seen Audra in Master Class and Marie Christine and, of course, her tv stuff, but none of that even compared to 110.
I also thought Kazee was outstanding.
I thought the whole piece was exceptional. I'm so glad I got a chance to see it.
I probably don't need to tell you that the audience went wild for Audra at the end. Probably par for the course.
I will make sure I give an update...either that night (by the time I get home it will be early sunday morning) or sunday afternoon...I can't wait....my two ex students that I am taking have never been to a broadway show...so they are very excited

Steve likes to change his Melisande a little every night. If something works well he usually does the same thing but then changes something else. I love him in that song though.... Well I think he is great in the entire show but he really gets to play in that song and I love that he really does. He could easily just do the same exact thing every night but he changes it up and makes it fun to watch. I didn't see him in previews but the past 2 months he has been wonderful and changes lil things here and there but always wonderful.
