5:30pm show today was Patrick Wilson, as listed in the press release, but the second special guest was Orfeh, who I love and who was of course awesome! (Yes, Mr. Wilson was great too, but I love me some Orfeh, have ever since I saw Trailer Park and had to then Google/YouTube to see her other stuff.)
Patrick Wilson did the celebrity press conference, and also did backstage story (his story was about a night at The Full Monty where there was a lighting mishap and instead of being (backlit?) like they were supposed to, so that the audience just got shadows, instead in the finale the curtain call full lights were somehow on, and so the audience that night actually did get the full monty.)
Orfeh rocked the musical madlibs for "If I Can't Have You" from Saturday Night Fever- I love her voice, she was a big reason that I saw Trailer Park twice, and it was so great to get to see her do musical madlibs.
Oh yeah, he totally played it up- I've never heard the story before, so it was funny to me anyway, but when he threw in immitations of his fellow cast members reactions that was great. Although the best part was the first audience member that he sees- "...and then, I locked eyes with an 8 year old." Hee. Updated On: 5/12/07 at 09:16 PM
I was there to see Patrick Wilson and could hardly believe my luck when I found out Orfeh was there too. Orfeh did a pitch perfect Cher 'bad impersonation'. They were both terrific and really funny. I got a huge kick out of two Fascinating Rhythm alum together. The whole show was great with my sole 'gripe' being some of the skits went on a bit longer than they needed to. Really good turn out too.
I loved Orfeh's madlibs this afternoon, I wish she had done more improv stuff throughout the rest of the show too though. (she did get Suicidal in the oveactor's symphony)
Mr. Wilson's backstage story was very funny (I had never heard the story), and his press conference performance as Johnny Depp in The Scarlet Pimpernel was great. He also got ADD in the Overactor's Symphony and his "SteveWHAT" along with David's "Patrick Wilson" pointing made me laugh every time.
Last night, the LA relay race between Mo Rocca and Dan Fogler (and Mo's smashing of the tofu) was another fun game worth mentioning.
The shows this weekend have been packed, great audiences who seem to love the show. Thanks for the NY2 shoutouts, DR!
tonight was hilarious!! They used my suggestion for a musical called Growing Up Skipper!! haha! the other musical was I Want More Poached Eggs. Jen Cody is the CUTEST!
Jen Cody's backstage anecdote was the finniest thing of the night. She talked about auditioning for a commercial where she had to act like a chicken on Lexington Avenue. Wilson's "Surrey with a fringe..." was great too, and picking the words for the madlib was almost as funny as the actual song itself.
I got my $50 gift certificate from playing Battle of the Bill, so I'll make my way back there soon!
Great show, great cast, I just wish you didn't have to buy two drinks ebcause after an hour of laughing so hard I had to pee so badly!

Congrats, that's awesome!
Great show, great cast, I just wish you didn't have to buy two drinks ebcause after an hour of laughing so hard I had to pee so badly!
Oh I know, right? I think I've actually figured my way around that- I get one drink, and one bottled water, drink the drink, and take the water with me when I leave. Hey, if I have to buy two drinks then I am taking it with me. :)
I knew Sara was being Seinfeld, I don't know why I said Kramer
And, I couldn't tell whether or not Jen Cody was being Shakira or Tina Turner. Everyone was laughing so hard I couldn't hear what she was saying.
Either way, I am excited to get to go back (especially sicne the tickets are a lot of $). My plan is to go up and win the game every time so I can keep going back :)
Madlibs is one of my favorite parts of the show. Tonight Melissa Erico sang a song from My Fair Lady. Also loved Orfeh's song from Saturday Night Fever yesterday afternoon.
Highlights from this weekend included JonBenet Ramsey's Dance class, Marc Kudisch (as Kristin Chenoweth in Oliver!, an Oompa Loompa with Clarke Thorell, and "inadequate" as an overactor), Sandy Rustin in Match.com the Musical, You Looked Hotter on MySpace, Rent in 60-30-10 seconds (Todd Buonopane, Jen Cody, Vashty M, and Greg Reuter I think), Patrick Wilson, the game Replay, I can't even think of what else.
It has been packed all weekend, which is great to see!!
Editing to add: Mr. Roger's Neighborhood Watch and Unicorns Gone Wild.

Who is Brian Scott Lipton? (besides duh- a TheatreMania reviewer.) Because he kinda sounds like a bit of an ass, unless I'm just reading too much into this:
Even though suggestions from the audience guide some of the sketches, there is a sense of the material having been pre-rehearsed; further, I suspect that the creators sometimes wait to hear a specific (and familiar) suggestion before deciding on how the skit will proceed.
If there's one thing I've never felt at any Don't Quit Your Night Job it would be what he is describing right there.
I'm being offered a ticket to the 11pm performance tonight. I've never been to it before. Is anyone going tonight?
Liotte?
