I would be a happy girl if the audition wasn't in Florida.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

This means no one can actually get an education and be in Spring Awakening.
Um, at least one of the cast members is currently in (and attending) high school. And... they could always take time off from college and go back. It's not like this show is some big anti-educational force and stands in the way of the educations of every kid involved in it.
So.....when I leave Florida and move to NYC the casting happens in reverse? Nice. Anywho, I'm sending all of my friends to it.

I'm thinking about legally changing my name to Lizzie Curry...
grrg... florida. And my mom actually said that she would have taken me to it if it was in NYC. ::sob:: Too bad they aren't doing the whole hairspray thing where there's an address to send you're pic and resume.

On the Spring Awakening MySpace, it says you can send "headshot and resume (with a cover letter, peeps!) to our casting director: JIM CARNAHAN c/o Roundabout Theatre Co 231 W 39th Street Suite 1200 New York, N.Y. 10018. You do not need to be Equity. "
Maybe you (or others) can try that. It can't hurt.
This is quite exciting. I actually live not too far from where the casting call is being held and am in love with the show. I have only been in one college musical production but I am thinking this could be a fun experience. Does anyone have any song suggestions or what not?
