Some of you actually paid $50 for that record?

Please tell me you didn't...

Maybe I missed something but, if they aren't signed (as someone in the thread mentioned earlier), why is the one on ebay signed?

Seriously, can anyone confirm if they have any available at the theater? I would be eternally grateful for anyone who might be able to help me get one.

Maybe they could sell some more, but without the numbers, making the first 1000 the rarer ones. I really want one, if only because someday this show will be available to produce and I want that record as a potential prop!

Husk, everyone had the same opportunity to buy one as I did. I bought mine late. The fact that it was a limited edition and numbered makes them collectibles and it is foreseeable by everyone that people will pick up more than one in hopes that they become collector's items and more valuable. I assure you that I will sleep soundly despite the fact that I have two of them in my possession.

I want to know the same thing myself. I am willing to go to the theatre and pick one up for you, but please can someone just say if any are left so I need not make the trip if they are gone.

I was at the show tonight, yep there are still records left. :) I purchased one and it's labled 267/1000. There was a short line for items and from what I saw no one else bought one. So I'd assume it's safe to say there will still be some for anyone who goes tomorrow.

The seller most likely bought one unsigned and then went to the stage door and had it signed. That's how most signed Broadway memorabilia happens.

actually there's a video on Broadway.com of the entire cast signing vinyls in the green room. I don't remember how many or what they were for but a bunch of them did get signed.

I bought the vinyl as a gift for my husband who is addicted to his LPs. (They are all boxed and labeled in his office where they occupy their own alcove.

My kids saw the Drowsy record album when I presented it and were like, "What's THAT?" So we explained that ages ago, that's how people listened to music, blah, blah, blah. (They looked baffled.)

Anyway, I took the kids to see the show last Sunday, and when Bob Martin held up the record to show the audience what he was going to play, my son (who is usually completely silent and well-behaved in the theatre) yelled out, "You have that, Mommy!"

I was SO embarrassed. After the show, I apologized to Bob, but he laughed and said, "Don't worry. I didn't hear it!"

Awww, penny, that's such a cute story.

Oh yeah. I remember seeing that, and I remember I was curious because they didn't say what they were signing them for. At the time, I thought maybe all 1000 of them would be signed, but now I know that's not the case. I wonder what happened to those...

I finally found a friend in the city who is willing to stopby the theater tomorrow night (Thursday, March 1). Can anyone who's been by in the last day or two confirm that they still have some?

For those that are interested, I went to Drowsy today and bought the vinyl recording. It is no longer available on the website as you know and I was told that there were only about 40 left at the theatre. Just an FYI.

What number was yours? I just paid $80 on ebay for one but might pick up another one at the theatre if they are still available there on the 31st.

I hope this doesn't spoil anything, but I have been told that more are being produced. I won't give my source as the info. was given in a PM and no announcement has been made yet, but apparently a second pressing is being done. They won't be hand-numbered and will have some small artwork changes. If you've signed up for email alerts at sh-k-boom, you'll hear about them the moment they're available.

I've already heard that there will be a second pressing and they wont be numbered. Makes me a little upset since they wont be quit as rare anymore.
