I'd be going if Harvey were still in the show Rags

This is a great deal, although I wonder how they'll really check if you're a theatre student or not. I mean I can't imagine they'll be checking everyone's program. That would take forever.
And what about kids that are stage management or sound design students?
Regardless, I will probably be in line with a program. How exciting.
I would be going if it were open to highs chool students.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

Yeah, that's true. I just want to go with my costume designing friend and don't want them to pull some stupid acting only thing. I'm sure that won't happen, though. Hopefully.
I will personally be looking at programs at noon and I won't pull any "stupid actor thing" so no worries.
Obviously, this is nothing that's going to bring a great deal of $ to the foundation. This rush is all about inviting new members into this community...and new members are actors, designers, musicians, stagehands, etc...
It's also going to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I hate for people who would truly benefit from it, to miss it because they can't afford it.
See you on Monday.
The show is just about sold-out, so PLEASE order seats ASAP if you can afford them. There are literally less than 100 seats left at this point.

I am hoping to go, but I have to see where I am with my final papers. Ulgh.

Carolee Carmello and Gregg Edelman want to fatten up the cast. On Wednesday, Carolee brought donuts for all and today, Gregg just walked in with Entenmann's.
Which is apparently why I gain 20-30 lbs a week this time of year.
And on a personal note: Carolee is brilliant and one of the most professional and decent people I've ever had the opportunity to work with.

I haven't got any programs from recent stuff... does it count if I bring in my script for a show I'm working on currently?
l love you without knowing how... or when... or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride. I love you because I know no other way than this.

Yeah, my problem is I haven't been in any shows @ my college yet... and all my older programs are at home and I can't get at them by tomorrow. But printing a class schedule or bringing a script for either of the shows I'm currently involved with (I'm acting in one and ASMing another) would be easy.

hey Jamie, I'm planning to show up early to try and get one of these tix but am worried I won't have the proper credentials. I'm a fulltime theatre student w/ ID and am working in theatre, but not on the production side- therefore I haven't been listed in any show programs in well over a year. I do work for the Shuberts, am a member of IATSE, and intern for Playbill. Would a Shubert ID or union card suffice? I know there are a few of us in the same boat- so what would you recommend for us theatre kids who don't get to be in the playbills?

oh, and for the record- Michael Rupert is an upgrade from Harvey and damn near anyone in the business. He might not look as good in a fat suit, but his ability to inhabit a role and sing it beautifully is unparalelled within his age/character range.

Broadway Matt - I just like Harvey better. That's it.

I guess I'm the first one to get home! But before someone starts a much-deserved RAGS thread, let me be the first to say BRAVO!!! It was simply spectacular, and I hope a lot of you had the privilege of being in attendance. The whole cast was wonderful, and Carolee truly gave the performance of a lifetime! I've loved her in everything she's done and been a huge fan for years, but this was really a special role for her. It's assumed that she's always going to sound incredible- which she did- but her acting absolutely blew me away. It was a delicious sort of hybrid of Mother from RAGTIME, Lucille from PARADE, and some other proprietary blend of great female roles. Jamie, I don't know how you got her, but you've outdone yourself this time sir. Congrats on yet another successful concert, keeping the streak alive. Can't wait to see what you cook up next year.

I'm a high-school student and they sold me a student rush ticket without a problem, didn't even ask for any kind of theatre proof. I'm not going to write a review, but just say that it was a really great concert.
