Casting for Lord of the Rings

Anyone Know who's casting Lord of the Rings? Or if anyone is set in the cast yet? I have a friend who saw it in Canada and said it was "different", I'm not sure if that was a good or bad thing.

No firm news (it's still 8 month away!), but rumours are that some of the cast from the Canadian production have been offered parts in London (I think that they're somting about it on the Broadway board). Many of the leads were from the UK anyway, so I would imagine that was their plan when they opened it...

Not sure who's handling the casting here I'm afraid.

There's an open casting call for "Hobbits" out at the moment I saw, but not for the lead roles as far as I know.

James Loye is coming over, as is the Gollum actor. And some of the hobbits, the Merry/Pippin/Sam? Two of them, for sure.

I believe it is Grindrod Associates that are casting, as a few colleagues are up for closed auditions with them next week

we had the press release at work today (drury lane). Was quite cool, ring wraiths and stuff walking around the theatre. Mental. Should be a good show but annoyed i'll be out of a job for 4 months!
