5. Chicago
6. Sweeney Todd
7. Peter Pan
8. The Boy From Oz
9. Company
10. Xanadu

All except Peter Pan. That one I base off of the filmed version of Mary Martin's production, and it makes the list because it IS the show that made me fall in love with Broadway musicals, and therefore led to my attending live performances.
I purposely have not seen another production of that show because I don't see how any Peter couls compare to Mary.

Elke you don't like GYPSY????!!! Are you daft my friend? What's not to like? It's perfect!

I know, I feel horrible for having that opinion. Don't get me wrong, I saw 'Patti LuPone Gypsy' and thought the whole cast was extraordinary. But the songs / story just didn't do it for me.

Some include: Show Boat, Carousel, South Pacific, Starlight Express, and Evita because I just don’t enjoy them!

The only time a movie was better than the original play was Chicago because it was made more understandable and relatable to its audience. And again I’m a fan of the music, but not of the show. Otherwise, I hate that every musical has to be made into a cheesy blockbuster starring people with big names in order to make people see it.

This or That:

The Producers or RENT - Rent

Wicked or Chicago - Wicked

Fiddler on the Roof or Oklahoma - Fiddler on the Roof

Thoroughly Modern Millie or 42nd Street – Thoroughly Modern Millie
