Has anyone seen the new cast? I am seeing it on Wednesday and I was wondering if Rachel York signs.

You can always count on the cast (minus Joanna) to sign. Rachel is very sweet, but I've heard that she's just been walking away.

If you stop her she signs, if not she doesn't assume people want it.

Right now, the stage door is very...not busy...b/c of the construction on the Richard Rodgers, the barricades aren't up, and usually there's just a couple of people waiting. So for that reason, it's not so obvious to the actors as they walk out that people are waiting for them, so it's important to speak up as they exit, and w/ there not being so many people there, don't just assume someone else will ask.

Rachel York will definitely sign if you ask her. She is incredibly sweet and takes time to chat if she does not have a post-performance commitment. I've even seen her pose for photographs with people. And if she does need to get somewhere quickly, she is courteous enough to say that in a very polite way. WRQ is absolutely right. If people don't ask, performers don't just assume you want their autographs. They may think you are waiting at the stage door for someone else. They'll just go home if no one appears interested!

OOOOOOOOOOOOH. That's where it's going. What are they doing to the theatre? Are they taking out the incline, cause that was my favorite part of Movin Out: the great seat incline.

Indeed lovesclassics. I was surprised to realize, though I now understand why, that in almost every show, the most difficult people to get an autograph from are members of the ensemble! It has nothing to do with not wanting to sign, they're quite happy to and usually very chatty, but they never expect that anyone is going to stop them, so they usually just run out of the theatre!

she nevers comes out the stage door. I would say good luck, but I don't think it would help.

Please do not try to accost Johanna as she tries to leave a different way. As Liir says you may get lucky, but if not, it is not to be.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Joanna has a secret tunnel that connects with the Gershwin's around Colombus Square. Check there for the luminous Joanna.

But she *may* only be luminous due to the swamp gas down there.

when there was no construction, Joanna exited through the back side of the theater....behind the stage door....the crowd never spotted her. Now, she probably goes out through the 45th street side.

Yeah, when I went it was kindof hard to get them to sign as well. Sherie signed my L5Y Cd and took off before anyone else could get her. I was waiting for Joanna, but didn't know she never came out. I managed to get JP's autograph and my pic with him, but he had a friend with him who was complaining and shaking his head when people wanted to talk to him. He was muttering under his breath, but JP was patient with the few who stuck around to meet him. Aside from his angry friend, he was great.
