Yea, I haven't heard anything about this. I hope it comes together because I'm seeing it on the first night of previews. I'm kind of scared.

I'm seeing it on March 30th, so yeah, I'm kind of anxious... I have a feeling my hopes are a little high. But the lack of any buzz at ALL is making me more nervous... :-/

Well how much buzz do you usually hear on a revival of a play? The script is proven and the only thing making this buzz worthy is Julia Roberts. Take the no buzz as a good thing. If she were having problems we DEFINITELY would be hearing about it.

It's a brilliant play, Greenberg's best, in my opinion. It's VERY wordy and intellectual, which may be a problem for the people who are going to see Julia Roberts. They won't be able to follow it.

If my theory is true, than it just reaffirms that theater is dying. People going to see shows for the actors, not the show itself.

We know it's most likely true.

I agree that it's a challenging script. This ain't BAREFOOT IN THE PARK. The dialogue is very cerebral at times, laced with myriad references and innuendo that put the piece closer to Stoppard or David Hare than the crop of American writers produced on B'way these days. Which is why Julia's participation is actually quite interesting. And bold. And Paul Rudd's, a wonderful actor, of late know mostly for his charming, sleazy turns in 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN and ANCHOR MAN. I think this production might just live up to the hype. It's a real play, deserving of stars. These two are good, let's hope for the best. I'm going 4/12.

I think Julia can handle it. She's done some heavy stuff: eg: CLOSER, that was amazing, despite being absolutely creamed by critics. Only seen Paul Rudd in Friends, but I think it'll be okay in the end.

I really hope that she's on for every show. They should have warned people if she wasn't planning on going on at all performances. I'll readily admit that I bought the tickets to see her in it before I read up about the play and decided that I'm really anxious to see it for what it is. But I'm sure there are a lot of poeple out there who are going to see her.

When I heard Julia Roberts was in a play, I was avoiding it like the plague. I thought it'd be a mainstream spectacle that Julia was just doing for the moola. But when I read Richard Greenberg was doing it, I was first in line to buy tickets. I love that man.

It's Greenberg's best play and one of the better American plays of the 90s.

Really? I don't know much about it, but most people I have talked to aren't fans of it, or Greenberg, so, that may explain it...

There hasn't been much publicity about this production at all, save for the Julia talk.

Thesbijean, here's a homemade Broadway abridged (with respect to the hilarious author of the real Broadway abridged) of the plot:

Act 1 - 1995 - Walker and Nan find a diary that belonged to their father, a world reknowned architect. They can't decide whether to read it or not.

Act 2 - 1960 - We see the events that inspired the diary.
