Even better the 2nd time around. The cast was in tip-top shape. I agree with everything that has been said. It's the greatest show I've seen in a while, and I'll be back again.
Noticed 2 guys twirling towels at the curtain call, for some reason that had to do with the Superbowl. At the stagedoor, some annoying guy asked Patti and Michael if they wanted to get pie with him after the show. Patti looked at him and bluntly said 1 word: No. Then she ran faster than Roadrunner into her car. Michael just looked at the guy and walked away. It was the same guy who started fighting with security in the lobby when they wouldn't let him in at exactly 7:30. He burped pretty loudly, too. I figured he's never been in a theater before.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

You know, I think that is actually a great gift to send to anyone in the cast backstage - Like a nice pie from a shop that is noted for their fabulous pies, be it Cherry or Peach or Lemon or Chocolate Pecan - I really think that would not only be cute but unlike flowers they can all have a slice after the show. I've sent elaborate fruitbowls backstage but never a pie yet... Not a bad idea. Even Cheesecake - Stage folk have to eat too! If it were me I would like to get a basket with a bottle of Gran Marnier, A pound of great french roast coffee and a chocolate pecan pie - that would be my after dinner sinful indulgence for a week!

I imagine that anyone involved in a production of Sweeney would never want to eat a meat pie again (not that most people have eaten one to begin with!)
I agree with TinyDancer. Many actors are instructed to never eat food that are sent from fans unless they know who they are. Even with that said, if I was an actor on Broadway I wouldn't eat anything sent by someone I didn't know.
