Just wondering if any of you fine people could tell me which are teh best cowboys to get? am auditioning in a few weeks for the lead, but if unsuccesful want to know which cowboy I should try and get! (we are doing teh broadway chorey!)
hey...well when you say you are trying out for the lead, i assume you mean bobby...but there are a few other great parts that aren't cowboys...such as Zangler and Eugene (the british guy who sings "stiff upper lip" with Patricia). Also, Lank is the kind of bad-guy/tough cowboy who is featured a lot...and then there are 3 cowboys (at least in my production there were) who sang "Bidin my time". I believe their names were Moose, Mingo and Sam. So i think those are the more "featured" roles you might wanna try for :) good luck!
I was lost 'til I heard the drums, then I found my way
All the chorus boys/cowboys tap and sing. Depending on the choreography and such, some may have more "featured" things within a certain number but, with the exception of Moose, Mingo and Sam singing "Bidin' My Time" and "The Real American Folk Song," it's all pretty even.
Lank doesn't dance (except maybe in the finale/curtain call) and only sings two lines in "Naughty Baby."
