Does anyone know if there is a DVD or Video of Jekyll & Hyde that doesn't involve David Hasselhoff? I saw that one and hated it. I adore the show and I got to see the touring production with Robert Cuccioli (yeah, I know I mis-spelled his name) several years ago. Ideally, I would love to find a video of the show with him. Does this exist?

I don't think a video without Hasselhoff exists. I would love to have that DVD, though.
As someone told me lately: "Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"...
He's there, the Phantom of the Opera!...
I dreamed a dream in time gone bye...
This is the moment! My final test!...
PS. Couldn't choose just one :-)
Just thinking about that performance gives me diahrea. I HATED him. He totally ruined one of my favorite shows. Someone should have shipped him of to bay watch the second he opened his mouth. Are the crazy Germans deaf? How can they handle him? Well they can keep him. I advise people not to buy the dvd just because he's on it.

But no, there's no legal video version of the Broadway production without Hasselhoff except for the OBC in the Lincoln Center archives. Videos like the one Hasselhoff made are actually quite rare, since they're so expensive to make and no one except theater buffs watch them!
"...But Kungurtseva reels off multiple fouettes and the tape is stopped so she can take a bow. The Jester, an abomination introduced to Swan Lake in Soviet times, extorts applause from the audience. The cuts don't help the storytelling, the production is bare bones and they go for the '50s-style happy ending.
The audience cheers like mad at the end. It's the Russian ballet, after all..."
awww...i know that hasslehoff wasn't exactly everyone's favorite guy in the role but he is extrememly gracious, nice and hardworking...not that that makes one deserving of being on broadway...but..i just wanted you to know that. at least there IS any DVD of the show...thanks to HIM. as far as lincoln center archives..i don't know if the original cast is what always makes it..i have seen many of those archives and its usually filmed towards the end of the run of a show..whoever happens to be in the roles at that time. if you really want to see how the show should have been, get yourself a copy of the ****leg from the tour starring Chuck Wagner or of a matinee performance of Bway with Joe Mahowald as JH....
