To the twenty or so of you that read this on the OT board, I appologize. But I feel this is as much "ON TOPIC" as QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY. Boy, times have changed.

Let us not forget that today is World Aids Day. I would just like to send out my good wishes and prayers to all our friends who are still battling this disease and to let you all know how much you are loved. It is so overwhelming to look back and remember all who have passed and the talent and potential they took with them. I dare say there is not one person who has not been touched by this epidemic in one way or another.

The war is not over so let’s not forget it.
And also remember “RIBBONS ARE NOT ENOUGH”.

Peace and health to all.

Sueleen Gay.

Here is a great article about it .

They just aired a story about it on World News tonight. The chilling part was they said that while that was being shown, 23 people in the world died from Aids. That has GOT to be stopped.

That's one reason I am hoping when we have our get together, it will be for the Aids walk. A time, a place, a good cause.

Encore to that...There are so many worthy causes out there, but for some reason AIDS isn't as "popular" anymore and it makes me so mad that it is a completely preventable disease and yet it still runs rampant. We should all get together and do something! When I hear that the most common group of people to become infected are teenagers, I want to scream! There is no excuse and something needs to be done.

On tristarr32 idea of saying we should all do something if anyone can think of any Ideas that could help in anyway, Maybe a fundraiser type thing or.. I don't know anything. I would be more then willing to work my A$$ off to get it off the ground to support this wonderful cause.

whats even sadder is that moat of society doesn't see AIDS as a "threat" anmymore, and for most of them, the big AIDS crisis of the 80's/early 90's is over and so theres no need to talk about the disease anymore. It's not being taken as seriosuly. People need to understand that while there are new hopeful medications, there is STILL NO CURE and this disease STILL kills people.
I;'m all for joining an AIDS walk and meeting some of you crazy folks =)
