I'm only 15 so I haven't really worked as a dancer. But I have taken Irish Step Dancing (like Riverdance) for 10 years. I'm not even that Irish, my friend got me into it and I did't stop until a couple of months ago.
I have taken tap for 3 years. Jazz for 2, and Ballet for 3.

Ways to annoy people: Arrive at a meeting late, say you're sorry, but you didn't have time for lunch, and you're going to be nibbling during the meeting. Then eat raw potatoes. Ask people what gender they are,or Disagree strongly with everything anybody says:)

for the record...im not 13 years old ive been dancing for 13 years. lol.

If any of you get the chance, you should try and make it out to the Dance Olympus Convention in NYC. Its a phenomenal convention. Last year i took a few classes from Gregg Russell which were amazing, needless to say my entire body ached the next day. So fun.

ooh ooh and, Has anyone been to the Rockette Experience??? Although i am much too short to be a Rockette (i think you have to be 5'6 or 5'6 and im just 5') its a good convention if you take theatre tap or line production. HOP TO THE CONVENTIONS KIDS. Especially if they take indies. They are so much fun, great exercise and great experience.

A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it, but all she really dreams is to make someone else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer. And that is so beautiful-Anonymous

17 yrs old. 10 years of jazz, three of ballet (I realize I'm behind) pointe, 6 of tap and 6 musical theatre. I wish I lived in the states (well once in a while haha) so bad because of the amazing oppurtunities you have. Here in the maritimes, there is a huge lack of that.

Been dancing for 18 years and I've taken pretty much everything (aside from Irish Step Dancing). My favorite has always been jazz.... I was never any good at ballet -- horrible turn out -- but I took that for 2 years regardless.
