If you could go back in time to see any Broadway hits long past (2000 is the cut-off), what three would you see?

Me:

1. Florodora, 1901 (maybe I'd encounter Harry Thaw and Stanford White gawking at Evelyn Nesbit from the front row?)
2. Rent, 1996
3. Wizard of Oz, 1903ish (Broadway musical from the turn of the century; different from the Garland version)

Did you ever see something and say, "I just have to have it"? Sometimes a dream appears unattainable...but for anyone who's on the downside of advantage, and relying purely on courage, it's possible.

"On the Twentieth Century." I saw it with Judy Kaye and loved it, but I would have loved to see Madeline Kahn before she left the show.

Your time machine thread is another reason all Broadway shows should be preserved on video!

Didn't we do this time machine before. Okay Sherman set the way back machine. Here are a few

Gypsy (Merman)
My Fair Lady (OC)
Pajama Game (The night Shirley became a star)
Music Man
Anyone Can Whistle
Hair (OC)
Company (OC)
A Chorus Line
Dreamgirls
Rent

So my dear you think you can get to Broadway. Well, let me tell you something. Broadway has no room for people like you. Not the Broadway I know. My Broadway takes people like you and eats them up and spits them out. My Broadway is the Broadway of Merman, and Martin, and Fontaine, and if you think you can build yourself up by knocking other people down... ...GOOD LUCK... Seinfeld
