Side Show and Steel Pier left me numb. But not for the reasons you are talking about.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
all six of the shows at the sondheim fest in washington left me breathless- esp. merrily and sunday. i had already been obsessed with assassins for years before the revival, so it didn't blow me away as much as it would if i hadn't been into it. (what did blow me away was meeting joss whedon in the lobby) i have to say that after most shows i see, i leave the theatre smiling and jovial. theatre's like a drug man.

My first two Broadway whows, Rent and Wicked, I was just sitting there in awe the entire time. For Wicked, it was all the technecal stuff that went on, as well as the amazing talent behind it all. As for RENT, I was blown away by the voices! Jeremy Kushiner could just fill up the theatre, and make your heart melt.
