Is there a Dance of the Vampires cast recording or was that downloaded? Upstairs, I have Rent Disc 2, Tick, Tick...Boom!, and Hairspray in the cd player.

Isn't Jonathan Larson a genius? He gets that from his mentor Sondheim. Hee hee.

Oh yes! I can just imagine if Larson was still alive how many great musicals would be out today!

Sharon,

Aspects of Love is my favourite musical score! It's as gorgeous in an instrumental version ( although available only for parts of the score) as it is in the show's original cast recording.

I have Stravinsky's Oedipus Rex on my CD player right now, with Jessye Norman and Bryn Terfel. Wonderful music.

It is really sad what happened to him. That's why everyone should promote his work. He was a really intelligent individual with an incredible outlook on life.

the celebrity Aida album...because I keep the real Aida in my discman for the train.

It's actually rather good...I like Tina Turner's "Easy as Life"...so, so different from Heather's, but I like what she does with it.

I like the Elton John and Leanne Rimes "Written in the Stars." That is my favorite song in the show also.

It's funky what they do to " A Step Too Far " but I like it.

Car - Aida. My best friend and I always have a sing-a-long and of course, I sing Amneris'! ALWAYS! haha

CD Player - The Last Five Years duh.

lol, Last5Years! I was in the car with a fellow Broadway fanatic and another friend that couldn't care less about it. We were singing along with "A Step too Far" and my clueless friend must have felt left out because she just started going, "Oh-oh-oh-oh!!!!" My first friend told her, "You HAVE to learn all the words! Then we can do all three parts!!!!"

We're such freaks. We really are.

Last Five Years is my favorite car album. I love singing along with "A Part of That"..."and then he smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiles!!!!!!!!!!" I love belting out "My Strongest Suit" in the car as well...Sherie is just so much fun to sing along with. Love that girl.

Sherie rocks my rose-colored lensed world! I looooooove her to death.

My favorite song from Aida is A Step Too Far. We did it for competition (I played Radames unfortunately. Damn my male testosterone!) and the judges didn't advance us to States. They wrote dumbass remarks like "Not enough choreography, Sing to each other, Eye contact". They've never seen the show, and considering it's Florida, who can blame them!

MSS rocks! I know the dance! hehehe

My fav. L5Y song is Goodbye Until Tomorrow but Im starting to like "If I Didnt Believe in You". I get the chills at the crescendo and when Sherie/Norbert sing at once. It's very beautiful.

I think my favorite is "Not Me"...but I love "A Step too Far", especially because it makes me think about seeing it live and just how beautiful that scene is, when they're all in black and the pyramid is lit up...oh, I HAVE to see that show soon...I know it will be hard accepting another Radames, but I miss it!

"Not Me" is great too. My best friend and I were writing a gay parody of Aida turning Aida into Aidan and we had Radames singing "And who'd have guessed I'd throw my world away to be with someone I'm afraid is gay...Not Me". Don't you love that single piece of stage movement in ASTF? When Amneris and Aida both glance at Radames as he looks into the audience confused. Pretty breath taking

Disc two of Rent just finished on the cd player, next is Chicago. On the computer I have a mix cd on, with everything from Movin' Out to Little Shop of Horrors. Can't wait til' that one opens.

"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."
