I don't know about every lottery system for the theatres, but my friends went to one particular show (for the show's sake I will not name it) that is currently on Broadway, and because they knew the stage door man personally, he rigged it so they would be chosen for lottery seats. I don't really have an opinion on the matter because I can look at it from many different angles, but it just goes to show you that luck is not always a factor.

broadwayguy2, I agree! I never met him, but I did write him a letter a while and got the sweetest card back! It was on a Millie notecard (with the definition of "Modern" on the front). His handwriting's horrible, lol, and he wrote with a sharpee marker, but it was so adorable and it's great to know he appreciates the support.
Man, you follow Adam Pascal into the subway a few times and you get this REPUTATION! Well, maybe I was taking the same train he was every night! Ever think of THAT??!?
"Do you know ChrisLovesShows?" "Yes. Why, yes he does!"
In Los Angeles you really dont have that for theatre, lol
i waited after The Dead and had Alice Ripley, Faith Prince, and Stephen Bogardus sign my program, and me and a friend were the ONLY ones there.
after House of Bernarda Alba, Chita Rivera totally exited the back stage door and was walking with her driver and me and a friend asked for an autograph, she seemed taken back. LOL
When I go to a stage door after a show, I like to meet the people, but if they look like they are in a rush, or if there are nine million people surrounding them, I wont go up to them...I like to give them their space...If they look frightened, I step away...Once in awhile, they'll come up to me if I am standing back away from the crowd...
I had a dream...
I dreamed it for you June...
It wasn't for me Herbie...
And if it wasn't for me, then where would you be,
Miss. Gypsy Rose Lee?
