Since Tuesday is the big day, does anyone have a clip of a preview, or if anyone finds one afterwards, could they PM me? I really want to see what she will sound like. Does she have a website?

I'm dreading JLT as Glinda...I have the Footloose soundtrack she was in and it's awful. *sigh* She better fill KC's shoes WELL.

Footloose did not do her justice. She's going to be incredible. I've heard she sounds amazing in rehearsal.

So is the idea for her to fill Kristen Chenoweth's shoes or Glinda's?

I'm so excited that we will get a new interpretation on the role. Kristin was wonderful, but Jennifer will be too. I advise any non-believers to buy the Urinetown cast recording RIGHT NOW (it's amazing anyway), and listen to her sing "Follow Your Heart". re: Jennifer Laura Thompson as Glinda

I've been a fan of Jen's for a very long time. I first saw her in the Carousel tour, and I've seen almost everything she's done since then. Please dont base her performance capabilities on Footloose. She was terribly miscast. As far as Wicked goes...I have no doubt she will be absolutely amazing. I mean, come one, she ws nominated for a Tony for Urinetown--she plays these sorts of parts well. She will put her own spin on the character, but I dont think anyone is going to be disappointed. Give her a little time in the role and you'll see...

I saw her in Footloose... I didn't think she was a strong high soprano like Kristen. Footloose she seemed like an alto belt with a very meek high range.

And if she'll say, "My darling, I'm yours!" I'll throw away my striped tie and my best pressed tweed, all I really need is the girl...

"Footloose did not do her justice."

Geez...PLEASE do not judge her by the Footloose soundtrack!! I saw her a bunch of times in Urinetown and she has a beautiful voice. I loved hearing her sing "Follow Your Heart" (especially at the end). I think she's going to make a wonderful Glinda.

LOL I'm sorry I'm sorry! I did Footloose with my high school last year so I heard that soundtrack NONSTOP for 3 months....and when I heard JLT was going to replace Kristen I was like aagghhhh NOOOO. But I believe what you all are saying, that shes better in other things...and I can't imagine they'd replace KC with someone bad, soooo...go Jennifer!

Todays show is at 3.

Im really excited about JLT coming into Wicked. I liked her in footloose and loved her in Urinetown. I don't think she'll fill Kristin's shoes, I think she'll make it hers because she's amazing.

And hang on, when did you win the discus?

If anyone doubts J-La's soprano abilities, listen to Urinetown. It is almost all soprano for her.

I have no doubts that she will be wonderful as Glinda. I wonder what the chemistry between her and Idina will be like?

The Urinetown cd does show JLT's soprano really well, but "Follow Your Heart" is nowhere near as hard as just about anything she has to do in Wicked. I think that there's a great chance she'll be amazing, but I just want to hear.

Will she sing "No one Mourns the Wicked" and "Couldn't be Happier" in an opera voice like KC? Just Wondering. Also how long is JLT going to play this role? Are we talking until Jan. 2nd?

When she sang "I See a River" live... she did it differently every night. She threw riffs in here and there... and my GOD, the woman has such a versatile voice. The fluidity in her mix is amazing as well.... she just goes from chest to head so flawlessly. She has a GORGEOUS voice.

I hate Footloose, period.
