You're right broadwaybondchik...Eden is absolutely stunning. Her headshot on the Wicked website doesn't do her justice. Here is a link to the Denver Civic Theater, where "Brooklyn" played last year.

evidently everyone will get to see how stunning she is in person again tonight...heard Idina is sick and Eden will be going on again (ps - I agree with you all on her headshot)

I've found all these chats very recently and I find them quite interesting.

To those who are hesitant to see Eden perform as Elphaba, I completely understand...you don't want to risk your money. Trust me when I say that you're definitely not doing so.

I've known of Eden for about 10 years through 3 of my friends. Two of them were her teachers in high school show choir, and one is a choreographer at Disney, where she worked for several years.

I've heard Eden sing many times...as I think back, she actually coached me once for a solo competition while I was in high school.

I think she very probably has the best voice I've ever heard. Idina can belt, but she doesn't have the effortless versatility that Eden has. Eden can give you soft lows in one breath and a perfect belt in another.

In short, you're not risking anything if you hear Eden as Elphaba; in all likelihood you'll be more impressed by her live than you were by Idina on the C.D. (This is not meant to discredit Idina, whom I think the utmost of; I am merely reiterating my point.)

GO SEE HER!!! I promise you won't be disappointed. She is going to be Elphaba for 3 weeks in June.

I'm DYING to see Eden as Elphaba. I hear her sing Defying Gravity, and O was impressed. It's hard to compare her to Idina at all, their voices have very different sounds.

The only thing I wasn't crazy about was how, in comparison to Idina, Eden sounds....feminine (for the lack of a better word), she didn't come across as tough as Idina does, vocally.

Anyways, I just hope I can see Eden in June. I believe she';; be on June 18th-July 2nd, though I'm not sure if she'll be on for all of the shows.
