Went to pick up my ticket and they had someone outside announcing that the matinee was cancelled due to Covid. I have no information about this evening.
"What- and quit show business?" - the guy shoveling elephant shit at the circus.
Oh I did the same. Went to pick it up at 1:53, didn’t get my official email cancellation for the matinee until, and I quote, 4:03 pm. Incompetence don’t get no sympathy for me.
Edit: and let’s clarify, the communication of the cancellation was handled horribly, I get cancellations.

It's easy to blame them. But for all you know there was a server problem...or simply a network delay.
It’s Broadway, Not the emergency alert system. This wouldn’t have fallen under the ranks of a marketing email, it is operational so a different monster in terms of privacy and email laws (aka no backlog, it’s asap). No mention on their social either.
Frustration at the box office as well. Point of this being that this seemed to have been communicated to the people facing ticket holders last. The women behind me purchased hers at TKTS, and it was still on the Board when she walked back for clarification.
