Anybody feeling optimistic? I'm not.

How do you think it will play out?

I'm pretty sure the human garbage will take the House, but I think the Democrats still have a good shot at keeping the Senate. This could be important in the tragic even that 70-somethings Alito or Thomas - or both? - should be called home by their Lord and Savior.

Some people here have criticized my politics in the past - I admittedly have a history of voting for alternative parties - but I've voted for only Democrats since 2016 and expect to do so for the foreseeable future.

I respect that. Voting isn't necessarily the luxury of telling us who your personal favorite is.

It's so scary and disheartening to think that the evil GOP are in with any chance at all. How so many voters just do not live in the real world. I've actually started to be jealous of older generations, wishing I had been born sooner so I wouldn't have to live another fifty years. The future is not something I'm looking forward to.

The head of the Republican party today ridiculed the speaking abilities of Joe Biden and John Fetterman. She should be removed and censured. That won't happen, of course. Ugly.

"Anybody reading this who votes GOP, I blame you for the attack on Paul Pelosi."

Why? His attacker was here illegally, overstayed his VISA.  I thought Democrats were the party who don't mind people here illegally. Sorry Mr. Pelosi got attacked and hurt but don't get why somebody who votes for GOP is to blame. Did you blame people who voted for Bernie Sanders for the shooting of Congressman Scalise by Bernie Sanders supporter?

Half the country doesn't understand inflation or what causes it. It happens to be going down right now and of course, the Republicans will take credit for it when they win this coming week. Even though inflation was already going UP with 45....but hey who cares about that right?

Simple people care about three things: The cost of food, gas, and heating costs. That is all they see. That is all they care about. And I get it, putting food on the table for your family is pretty damn important. But, they don't care about other people. They don't care that abortion will essentially be illegal in more than half the Country after this election. They don't care about Trans youth or that the Supreme Court is coming for gay marriage next. They don't care about college debt for people. They didn't go to college, so it does not effect them. People are out for themselves, which is human nature, but this election will have long lasting consequences for anyone who dares to give a sh*t about other people, actually respects women, and is not a white, straight, man.

Anybody who votes GOP has a warped mind. I'm sorry, Zeppie, this is a hard truth.

Bernie Sanders, and the Democratic Party as a whole, don't advocate for violence against their political opponents. That's GOP territory. So if you're voting for that you're part of the problem.

And I wouldn't count the Dems out yet. I think tomorrow is going to be much better for them than everyone is expecting.

My beautiful State of California has been a Democratic stronghold for at least 30 years.  Despite rainstorms throughout our Golden State today, Democratic voters lined up at 7:00 a.m. to cast their ballots (those who did not vote early by mail).  That's what Democrats do.  And that's what I've done for every election since 1968.

I have a hard time accepting that almost 2 years since the GOP dictatorship attempt, Dump is not in jail, in court, and the truth is no longer relevant.  Get busy Attorney General, we're tired of waiting.

I don't understand why the AG is dragging her feet on this. Get him locked up to stop him from running again. However, would DeSantis fair better against Biden in 2024 than #45?

South Florida, can’t stop thinking about how depressing it must be to be a democrat in Florida after tonight. How do they fumble that one so hard. I think choosing Crist to lead the democratic ticket for governor was the worst choice ever, he’s a notable loser.

Jorge, Florida is a red state, I think it has most to do with Latinos, over the years, are moving towards the GOP.  It was a better than expected day for me.  I knew Florida was red. I think Jay started this thread and was pessimistic, I bet he or she is feeling a little relieved this AM.
