Word on the street (and at this particular theatre) that Jeffrey Carlson is going to be the McCarter Theatre's production of Candida by Shaw. I don't have any more information regarding what part, etc... It'll be cool to see him stretch his acting chops a bit more than in Taboo (although I found him to be a great refresher in the show!)
Following the closing of Taboo on Februrary 8, 2004 after 16 previews and 100 performances, Jeffrey will head back to the McCarter in Princeton, NJ for the role of Marchbanks in George Bernard Shaw's Candida, directed by Lisa Peterson. Candida will run from March 23, 2004 until April 11, 2004.
He was extremely entertaining in the role of Marilyn. I wish him the best of luck in his next endeavor.
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher
I think I will continue being a fan of Jeffrey's for awhile. He definitely sparked my interest, and I am looking forward to seeing him in a number of productions in the future. Such a talent!
