Does anyone have a sense of how busy the Hadestown lottery is at the moment? I will be in town the first week of January so can try every day, but just wondered if there's a sense of it being quieter or busier than usual. Thanks

I'm sure it's "quieter" than usual as there simply aren't the same number of people ready for live theater.  That being said, it's likely still a long shot.  If "only" 500 people try a day, the odds are still against you.

The first week of Jan could be a different thing....dead of winter and all. But since the lottery peeps are often locals - there is still no guarantee.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I've won twice since early October. Wednesday matinees though,

This is purely anecdotal but I've entered almost every day since September and haven't won yet. And I've won quite a few lotteries in that same timeframe.

Hadestown still has strong ticket sales compared to a lot of other shows at the moment. When I looked a few weeks ago to get tickets for next weekend (a friend is visiting and really wanted to see it) I couldn't even find two seats next to one another for any of the weekend performances. Ended up buying two box seats - one behind the other - as that was the best option for our price range.

If you really want to see the show I'd recommend buying a ticket.
