Hello all

Just wanted to ask if my seats for Moulin Rogue are bad and if sightlines will be an issue. I am in Row T (rear mezz). Wanted to know if I should exchange seats.

I think the seats will be fine. I was in orchestra the first time and mid mezzanine the second. Both times the show was a pleaser.

Besides the runway being cut off from your view, I think the row T is really far. I saw MR from the row K and missed all the action that happens on the runway. It was a frustrating experience. I don't ever mind to sit in rear mezzanine and many theaters have great unobstructed and cheap seats there, but not Al Hirschfeld, IMO. I think it's the show to be seen from orchestra, even a partial view seat is better than the rear mezz.

+1 to what gibsons2 said. I posted in a similar thread today that we were in Center Mezz Row J and the passarelle was partially cut off, as well as some of the action taking place on the sides of the orchestra seats. It was very frustrating. It's like they designed this massive set without giving any consideration to the sightlines in the mezzanine.

I saw in Mezz R last night and thought it was actually a great seat. In my mind Moulin Rouge is more like an Opera and being that far away did not impact my enjoyment of the show. Its a big spectactle and its actually nice to be a bit further back to take all the elements in, especially the lighting that extends around the mezz.

That said I've been agonizing over taking my mom as I think I've settled on some partial view seats that the trade off for closeness/what you miss may be worth it.
