Hell's Kitchen Restaurants Takeout Question

Hi All,

I am looking to purchase several gift cards for a friend who lives in Hell's Kitchen. If anyone knows of any places open for takeout that are worth getting gift cards from.

Asian, Italian, Cuban. Pretty much anything.

I have been on some sites that appear to be open. Some have gift cards, some do not. I haven't looked into it yet but was just thinking Amex gift card or possibly Visa as that would just give them more options. I assume they don't need to use the full amount all at once?

Trying to make this as easy as possible and something theyt can just use for a few meals.

I'm sure you already know this.  But many of the Visa and Amex gift cards have alot of hidden fees, you may not be getting your full amounts.  Fees for activation, fees for not using it promptly,  fees if you keep a balance longer than 6 months, etc.  There are cards out there that don't have the hidden charges, so be on the lookout for those.

Thanks for this info. I wasn't aware of this. Not sure how I got this far without ever having/giving an Amex gift card before. I know if I send my friend a check they won't cash it but I do think they will use gift cards so I guess now back to looking at restaurants directly
