It was announced today by the Criterion Collection that Barbra Streisand's Oscar-nominated film, "The Prince of Tides", will be released on DVD and Blu ray on March 31, 2020. This will be released in a 4K restoration, will include deleted scenes and alternate takes, as well as a gag reel. It is available for pre-order now.

Thank you. This is one if not my all time favorite Streisand film. I loved the novel so much and her adaptation was everything I hoped the film would be. Great performances all around - the great Kate Nelligan almost walks away with the film and that scene where Tom breaks down after letting out his secret is just so heartbreaking.
This is great news. I love this film, even though the premise is an ethical and legal monstrosity. Nick Nolte deserved an Oscar and Barbra is at the height of her cinematic powers.
I love how one reviewer who hated it said Barbra was most authentic when Nolte tosses her a football and she utters, "MY NAILS!" This was unscripted and kept in the film. It's a cute moment.
