My vote goes to 1999's "Marlene" starring Sian Phillips, who was stunning in the role. Critics hated it, and it closed in a few weeks - but I truly enjoyed it.

Me too! I really want the Broadway version of "Killing Spree". I adore Matt Smith, but not in this role.

GHOST - saw it in London before it came to Broadway

Agree with The Addams Family, especially during the initial Chicago preview. That particular production was the closest the creative team got to getting the original cartoons onstage.

Posted: 6/1/19 at 1:13pmAmerican Psycho deserved so much better than it got. It left me totally astounded and I think the score is exceptional. I hope one day it returns and finds the success it deserves. They needed a star for Patrick Bateman. I would love to see this come back with someone like Nick Jonas or even Zac Efron, if he could sing it.

Saw this headline and immediately thought "American Psycho" and interesting others above share that. By the words "most people hated" - I take that to mean the critics, who panned it and its broadway life therefore was very short. I only know that the two people I saw it with - the three of us - all really enjoyed it and thought it deserved more success.

IMHO
Whistle Down the Wind and The Beautiful Game/Boys in the Photograph are the only 2 great shows ALW has ever done, everything pales by comparison.
