I am visit for a long Easter Weekend Thursday through Sunday so I have five slots.  I have already seen: Beautiful, Book of Mormon, Chicago, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Frozen, Hamilton, Lion King, Mean Girls, Phantom, Waitress, and Wicked.  Really am open to plays or Musicals--on or off broadway.  Right now I am thinking of: Be More Chill, The Network, Hadestown, My Fair Lady, The Prom, Tootsie, Too Kill a Mockingbird.  That said, I am open to an of those or shows off-Broadway, or cabarets (e.g. 54 below, greenroom 42).  Any feedback on how to fill my week would be great.  If there are things I have not mentioned, feel free to provide your thoughts!  Thanks!

I would put both Hadestown and Mockingbird at the top of your list. I would also highly reccomend the off-Bway Fiddler on the Roof as it is stunning.

Personally, I could never suggest BMC to anyone having just seen and loathed it.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I would definitely reccommend Hadestown and To Kill a Mockingbird from your list. I saw Tootsie and I thought it was really funny but a lot of the songs were drags so if you want to see good musical numbers, you won't find them there. It's not on your list but I highly recommend Oklahoma. Even if you hate Oklahoma (like I did), you would like the latest revivial.

I echo voting for Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish. Just stunning. I’d skip My Fair Lady. Not offensively bad. I mean THOSE Songs, but it somehow falls flat and from what I hear, a new lead actress hasn’t improved things as that really isn’t the problem. I probably won’t make it back to NY before November, but tops of my list are: Tootsie, Oklahoma!, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Hadestown as far as shows open during Easter weekend.

I also loved Bryan Cranston in a production I had mixed feelings about, but in retrospect I admire it more than most on here do. I also thought Kiss Me, Kate was pure bliss (an unpopular opinion on here).

But if you only have five slots:

Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish
Tootsie
Oklahoma!
To Kill a Mockingbird
Hadestown
