Cy Coleman music, Wendy Wasserstein/Chris Durang book, David Zippel lyrics and Graciela Daniele direction and choreography come to the Two River Theater. This is a 95 minute love-letter to Broadway musicals and though it may not be top notch Coleman, it is certainly has well-done music and clever lyrics. Carolee Carmelo commands the stage as Aunt Louise, as does every one of the 15 member cast. Orchestra of 8 (wish it was more) makes for some lovely tunes and I had a smile on my face the ENTIRE time (as did my wife and as did most in the audience). Where it will go from here is anyone's guess, yet if you can make it to Red Bank NJ, you will discover a pleasant and rewarding diversion steeped with TALENT!

The book (from the 90's?) is adorable.
Glad to hear they did a nice job with it.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Howard McGillin is almost 65 and his daughter-Pamela is 11...Hmmm!? Bit old to be playing her Dad?

I'm so glad to hear the show is doing well! I did an intensive with Sarah Mckinley Austin (who play Pamela)and she is such a sweet girl!

Posted: 9/11/18 at 9:03pmSat in the fourth row-Howard McMillan comes across as 10 years younger so looks in his mid 50s and plays a highly credible father to an 11 year old. His voice still shines.
