Another election, another group of poor candidates. I really dislike Bill de Blasio and I never imagined I'd actually miss Bloomberg but I think Bill has done a terrible job running the city. Unfortunately the alternatives aren't much better and there doesn't look like there is much of a shot to get Bill out even if I voted for someone else. Haven't decided what I'm going to do yet.

What's everyone else think/doing today?

I have not lived in NY in many years but sad to see this guy probably get re-elected. Mayor of NYC is not easy job and they all have their faults but I think guys like Koch, Giulani and Bloomberg were so much better than your current mayor.

Whatever you do, just vote. You may not like the candidates, but just suck it up and do your bit. Don't assume to know how it will pan out, your voice is as important as anybody else's.

Agreed. Way too many people sacrificed way too much for future generations to pass on voting.

The major thing in this New York election is the required 20-year referendum on whether to hold a constitutional convention. Everyone in the state would be affected.

Yes; definitely don't forget THAT and other benefits of being involved and at least knowledgeable about your local government:
