Is anyone planning to see Young Frankenstein? I'm curious to see a song list and hear about any changes they've made aside from design elements.

I'll be going but not until Jan.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

I saw in on Broadway and it was a lot of fun, but I don't think it's the type of show I need to see again. HOWEVER, I love Shuler Hensley and the rest of the cast seems wonderful...so maybe...

I was disappointed in it. I love the original recording but onstage it came across as really misogynistic.

I thought the performances were good however but a little rushed.

I didn't care for all the new music.

If you don't fancy the musical there's the play version at the Bridewell Theatre next week. Love that in the Young Frankenstein's opening week you can see the same characters in a musical comedy and drama a few miles apart! Got to love London theatre.

“Alone” was already cut on Broadway wasn’t it? How are the new songs? And how does the show open now without an opening number? Anyone have a song list?

Hi the show opens with the Doctors number The Brain.

None of the new music stood out for me and seemed to drag.

Can anyone post a musical number running order that I can look at?

Myself and a friend are seeing the show on Monday.
