For those who have attended a show, specifically a Broadway show, how good is the seating in the balcony?  My seat for On Your Feet, is about half way back, so not the best nor the worst.  I bought this seat because it the cheapest price and well I'm cheap.  Are the ushers volunteers or regular paid staff?  I ask this, cause some times you can get away with things easier(like moving down) with volunteers.  Also when I look at maps from past shows in Orlando, the map appears always to be close to a sell out.  Which is different than Jacksonville, there are a lot less sold seats.  Of course the show are better in Orlando.  Are they generally sold out every night?  Thanks for any info.

Hi!

i live in Orlando and have subscribed to the Dr. Phillips Broadway season since they opened (and before that the Bob Carr). My seats are in the first row of the balcony, and I quite like them, especially for the price you pay. I have been as far back as Row F and never had a problem. The sight lines are great anywhere, and the acoustics in that building are wonderful. It's a great place to watch a show.

I'm not sure if the ushers are paid or volunteers, but I will tell you that almost every performance there is at or close to selling out. I've never been to a show there where I've noticed lots of empty seats. Orlando is a city that's very good at supporting the arts, I will say. This season, especially, has sold extremely well because everyone wants to be able to get in to Hamilton next season.

I hope that's helpful!

Thanks Adam for your response.  My row is actually row J, but center.  There are some empty seats still in mezz and orchestra.
