Each year, the community here has helped us tremendously in suggesting a show for a group of senior travelers to experience. I own a company in Wisconsin, and we have a group visiting in October. I'm asking for your help again.
We were set (or so we thought!) with Beautiful and Bandstand. We're still set with Beautiful, but found out this week that Bandstand is ending it's run in September.
So, we need to somewhat quickly find a replacement. Our guests are fairly conservative, so we need something rated G-PG.
Appreciate your recommendations--they have been used in the past, and will be put to good use again this year. Thank you, Steve Uelner, President, Country Travel Discoveries, Elm Grove Wisconsin.
Oh no! Sorry to hear your initial plans fell through because of closing.
My top recommendations that came to mind for this kind of group are Come From Away and Hello, Dolly!. Both are pretty hot sellers right now, though tickets for Donna Murphy as Dolly are well available. I think either one would be perfect.
Hello, Dolly!, without question. Fortunately, Donna Murphy has quite a few shows in September, with great availability. If you can manage it, I recommend it highly.
In case Hello Dolly doesn't work out, you might also consider Wicked, Aladdin, or Prince of Broadway. I don't think any of them would offend their sensibilities.
