Join us in The Greene Space for an exclusive preview of the new production, including cast performances of classics from the beloved score by George and Ira Gershwin. The evening also includes a conversation with members of the creative team: acclaimed choreographer Christopher Wheeldon, who directs a company of international and Broadway virtuosos; Rob Fisher, the production’s musical score adapter; and Stuart Oken, lead producer of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS. WQXR’s Elliott Forrest hosts.
The romantic story of a young American soldier, a beautiful French girl and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war, is the stuff of Broadway dreams. This new Broadway musical, following its sold out tryout at Paris’ legendary Théâtre du Châlelet, arrives at the Palace Theatre on March 13.
Everything I've seen from this show thus far looks gorgeous. Not to mention, I'm ecstatic to have Max von Essen back on Broadway. If anyone gets to go to this, please report back!
I went way over my budget for this cause I love the music so. I got a great seat center mezz first row for $147. I think that's gonna be a bargain considering that I'm sure this show is going to be an enormous hit! Can't wait for April 19th.
