We will be bringing a group a high school seniors and juniors to NYC in the fall. We will be seeing Les Miz and we need advice on our second show. It is between Pippin or Gentleman's Guide. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Like the other thread on this very topic, it really depends on the students. Are they DRAMA kids? Newbies? Sophisticated? What kind of community restraints will guide your choices?
I bring HS kids every year, and we see all sorts of things: but I know my students and what their parents deem appropriate very well.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

While both are great, I think the kids would probably get more of a kick out of Pippin, just from the acrobats alone. Plus I think it would be a good switch up from Les Miz
