thoughts?

Kind of excited to see if he does the same comedic roles as Terry and this will probably bring people to the show! Updated On: 5/28/14 at 05:00 PM

I think that's cool! I haven't heard him sing in a while though. Can he do the role? Can he throw knives and stuff?

"Can he throw knives and stuff?"

Well... I'm sure he can fake it, which is what the show requires.

I wonder if Charlotte will take an absence as well (probably for their theatre camp) if they will bring in a temporary like John or just have understudies go on...

That's easy. The unicycle bit will be trickier.

This is such delightful news! I wasn't really planning to see Pippin again, but this might just get me to change my mind!

The knife throwing is pretty damn simple.

That is so great......good for him. Maybe his wife Jane Lanier (if they are still married) can do Fastrada. Keep those roles a husband/wife thing.

The knife throwing is an illusion. The knives pop out from the box.

I should bloody well hope so. Can't imagine any insurance company agreeing to live knife throwing 8 times a week.

Well, it will be nice for Charlotte & co to work alongside an actor who is actually engaged and, you know, awake for once.

I took that as more of a character choice- an aging, syphilitic rock star as the basis for this production's Charlemagne as opposed to a Great Shakespearean interpreter.

Can't wait for this. Saw him in Wicked in LA and he was really excellent. Oh and embarrassingly saw him in Pippin twice in the 70's (God I'm old)

"The knife throwing is an illusion. The knives pop out from the box."

Is it? (which it may be), but if I remember correctly, in an interview, Terrence said that Diane asked everyone one kind of trick(s) or special talent can you bring to the show. Terrence said he is a professional Knife thrower. Which then was personally incorporated into the show specifically for Terrence and Charlotte. I could be wrong, but I remember reading or hearing that in an interview. Besides if they do keep the knife throwing bit in, it can be fake still to produce.
