Big revelation today: "Prelude, Fugue and Riffs," a 1947 jazz piece for solo clarinet and jazz ensemble. He wrote it for Woody Herman's big band but performed it on television in 1955 with Benny Goodman.
I never really heard it before or paid much attention to it. It's a minor piece but so much fun.
This is a television performance of it, not the one with Benny Goodman, but a good one.
