By the time I saw the revival in the 80s, Laurie Beechman had already left the production. I saw Sharon Brown who was wonderful.

I like Diana DeGarmo, so I'd see this tour if it ends up being somewhat close to DC.

I take it there still haven't been any announcements of who else has been cast? My assumption is rehearsals will start fairly soon.

I'm very grateful the poster steered away from the Clay Aiken version from last summer. I don't mind this one at all.

According to a post on Facebook, both Tricia Tanguy and Paige Zaloudek are leaving the Sister Act tour to join the Joseph tour.

For anyone who's interested, they've made some changes for this tour. They're not using the standard licensed version that matches the 1991 Palladium revival. The orchestrations seem to be entirely new or at least adapted. The Overture is in, the top of show "Any Dream Will Do" is cut, the "Journey to Egypt" montage is in and the "Entr'acte" is cut. Instead of singing an encore of "Close Every Door" to allow the ensemble to change costumes for the Megamix like in the Palladium version, Diana and Ace sing a soft rock/pop version of the prologue "Some folks dream..." etc. That leads into a shortened six minute version of the Megamix which is about half the length of the longer Palladium version. Both dance sequences in "One More Angel" and "Canaan Days" are in and there are moments here and there where there seems to be an extra bar or two of music, "Benjamin Calypso" begins a cappella and Potiphar is assigned some lines that are usually sung by the Narrator, but nothing else major.
