October 15-20: GHOST November 12-17: WAR HORSE December 17-22: DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS March 11-16: THE GERSHWINS' PORGY & BESS March 25-30: ONCE June 10-15: EVITA
Special Engagements: January 8-26: WICKED (again) April 29-May 4: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
In buffalo's defense, this is what is available to us this season because We already got Book of Mormon, Priscilla, Sister act, Les Mis, white christmas, and jekyll&hyde.Unfortunately, next season's line up is as good as it gets in the best of markets( and believe it or not, Buffalo is one of THE best selling markets for Broadway tours). As a result, we have to fill up the remainder of the season with returns of wicked and beauty and the beast. What other shows are out there next season...Flashdance?? I think I'd pass
It really is the best of what is out there. Slim pickings it seems beyond these tours. I've seen most of these in NYC but I will renew. I have no idea how Once will play in these huge houses-I think it will lose alot.
Ghost will be scaled down, which is too bad because the effects were the best part. Is Ghost non-equity?

This will be WICKED's third time in Buffalo. First was in 2008 with Carmen Cusack and Katie Rose Clarke, and second was in 2011 with Jackie Burns and Amanda Jane Cooper.
Wicked and Jersey Boys are cash cows for Sheas. They draw on Canadian tourists too.

MAMMA MIA! is another cash cow in Buffalo. I think it's been to Shea's three times, as well.
I'm a season ticket holder this year but definitely will not renew for next season. There's just nothing here that excites me at all. And it's not anyone's fault really. It really is slim pickings out there right now and this is the downside to having a spectacular season this year. I would have liked to at least seen ANYTHING GOES on the lineup. I think the season desperately needs a classic, feel good, old-fashioned musical comedy. That's what Shea's audiences love most.
