Posted: 1/29/13 at 8:17pmMy reasons, even if they're silly: Both musicals won Best Musical and two acting performances (although Phantom Michael won Lead and Enjolras Michael won Featured). While Les Miserables won more Tony awards, I think Phantom didn't win some of its awards (like score) because it had big competition in Into The Woods. Les Miserables didn't have that much competition, I think.
