The Broadway League released its latest demo report. 63.4% of tickets were from tourists. 67% of all theatergoers were female. 18.4% of tickets were from international tourists. Only 5% of Broadway audiences were made up of die-hard fans who saw 15 or more shows, but they still comprise 29% of all admissions.
I don't even understand how they get these demographics: I fit all three of the categories you mention -- I live in Boston, so that makes me a tourist, I AM female but I definitely see 15 or more shows a year.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
^ I got a Leap of Faith playbill at the flea market this year and it had a questionnaire in it. No idea if it was for this or not.
