I think there was some discussion about it when it leaked 3 or so weeks back (or I guess that was a Hulu release? We don't get Hulu in Canada and I just came across it). I liked it--largely due to Mindy herself, but I found it fun and largely charming, though with room for improvement. I know critics have liked it, lainly, but those who haven't hate that she's still persuing a romance--but I think Kaeling is smarter than that (and anyone who's read her book, knows that she does love rom coms, and is aware of the fact that there's a bit of a dichotomy between being "that" type of woman and a career woman, so obviously that's some of the point).
Like Phyllis, I didn't watch it again today, but will watch next week.
Maybe both? Mindy seemed to be talking a little quicker than usual. Chris Messina (the guy that's gonna take a person out of that person) was probably filming The Newsroom around the same time, so he could have still been caught up in the Sorkin-style of fast-talking.
I really liked it. I had high hopes for both this show and The New Normal (both shows featuring an ob-gyn. random.) and was frustrated when I found out they were airing the same time, but there is definitely a clear winner in what I will watch live.
I liked it a lot. It's a good set up for more conflict down the road and it was really funny. Mindy has the it factor that makes you root for her even as she makes worse and worse mistakes.
I didn't have sound issues, but they all were talking very fast. I'll be curious to see if they slow down the tempo a bit after the pilot.
