I feel like this can only be lose-lose for Mittens. If there is something unseemly, then that's bad for him (like it matters at this point). If there really isn't much to fuss about, then why did he and Mormon Barbie make such a big fuss about not showing it?
Maybe there is something he doesn't want the church to know. Like he helped franchise some Starbucks in Detroit.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has released his full 2011 federal income tax returns, fulfilling a commitment he made earlier this year. Brad Walt, the trustee of the Romneys blind trust, said the Romneys paid $1,935,708 in 2011 taxes on $13,696,951 in income. He said the Romneys effective tax rate for 2011 was 14.1%. Also in the release, Walt said that during the 20-year period between 1990-2009, the Romneys paid an average federal tax rate of 20.2%. In January, Romney released a summary of his 2011 taxes. In it, he and his wife, Ann, originally said they filed a joint 1040 reporting a joint income of $21 million and a tax bill of $3.2 million.

A summary means squat. He could have had ANYONE cook up a summary. No. Unless he releases his tax returns for the past 10+ years I see this as a non story. An attempt from Team Romney to put this issue to rest before Obama hammers him about it at the debates.

Meanwhile Obama still hasn't figured out what to do about radical Islam destroying US embassies and killing innocent people. Oh I got it, let's film a commercial and put it on Pakistani tv.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
I'm sorry Goth. I thought this thread was titled Romney Releasing His Tax Returns. Are You really this stupid? Obviously You got NOTHING to say about this subject yet you come here and SPREAD LIES
You ALWAYS LIE and CHANGE THE SUBJECT when you get nervous. LOL!

"they had filed an extension because the 2011 return wasn't prepared yet."
Yes, because it's obvious they were trying to figure out how to spin it.

Yes, he overpaid his taxes, an act which he has siad should disqualify him from being president. However, after the election, win or lose, he can file an amendment to his return and get the overpaid taxes back.

Why would Reid apologize? Unless I'm mistaken, Romney hasn't actually released any of the tax returns from the past 12 years, which are the ones Reid meant.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
His accountant has lied for him before- like when he said Mitt had filed Massachusetts state taxes so he could claim residency there. And he overpaid (What a bizarre word that is in the case of a multimillionaire who's paying a lower rate than poor old me) only because he previously lied and said he never paid less than 13%. He paid more money into the treasury so that would be true-- probably just for a couple months as he can and probably will file an amended return that will take his rate below the magic number.
