Most First Lady wanna bes start touting their pet projects when the man has been nominated. You notice that Ann has not mentioned ANY altruistic venture? She's not even pretending to care. Or, realizes she's gonna be living in La Jolla next year. And that Ryan wife. She's vanished. Obviously, she wants none of this.

Sarah Palin, who quit being Governor of Alaska because the work was too hard and she could make more money being a reality TV star. Sarah, the last VP Nominee for the Republican Party, was NOT even invited to the GOP Convention.WHen Sarah the Quitter starts giving your campaign advice, I'd say you are in BIG TROUBLE. Sarah is a loser ( She cost McCain the Election in 2008 ) and a quitter. This woman giving advice is like Charlie Sheen counseling you for substance abuse.

I apologize if this particular facet has already been addressed here--I'm kind of losing track of all the threads addressing the myriad ways in which a Romney presidency would be the end of everything Good and Decent in America.

BUT...

This is from a WNYC.org article on Mittens and his taxes (CAPS are mine):

"...So Romney paid more taxes than he had to. But that conflicted with another statement from earlier this year, when he said during a Republican primary debate: "I pay all the taxes legally required and not a dollar more."

At another point, he said during an ABC News interview that if he had paid more taxes than he owed, that would DISQUALIFY HIM FROM THE PRESIDENCY. His exact words: "I don't pay more than are legally due and frankly if I had paid more than are legally due I don't think I'd be qualified to become president."

Despite that, he paid more taxes than he owed."
