I understand that there is some audience participation during Godspell. Is this strictly voluntary or should I be very afraid about the possibility of being pulled on stage?! My seats are in the Front row.
Thanks in advance

MY understanding is that it is the lottery winners that are in those seats.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The lotto winners are in seats on the floor; that's where the onstage participation members are pulled from.

Generally those in the lotto seats are chosen, though I have been at performances where people on the aisles right next to the pillow seats have been brought up. So if you or your friend's seats are located right near the aisle towards the lobby side of the audience, there is a chance to be chosen.

I'm going on my birthday and a cast member knows it's my birthday so I got a little nervous when I heard about this. But, it sounds like I'm safe then - I'm 23 seats from the aisle & five rows back.

When I was there one guy got picked from 4th row near the aisle so I guess it depends.
