I wonder if, when she went, she was going like Elsie.

RIP Ms. Haworth.

65? She was terribly young to die of "natural causes".

RIP

I grew up with Ms. Haworth as Sally Bowles and I am almost positive she will remain the definitive one for me for a long time to come.

Sad news indeed.

Fondly remembered for, among other things, the near-classic camp horror film IT!, co-starring with Roddy McDowall.

Her career was pretty much halted in its tracks by that grossly unfair Walter Kerr review. She was and is the definitive Sally Bowles. Very sad.

How sad. I love her work on the recording. She was extremely talented and its a shame her career didn't take off like it should have. May she rest in peace. Her and Natasha were my favorite Sally's and now they are both gone. It truly is tragic.

Ditto to esparza's comment! Such brilliance from both gorgeous women. So sad.

She was in Otto Premingers stable of actors he used over & over again

First Exodus . She was also in The Cardinal & others as well. Her career should have been much greater given the talent but she did not get the breaks

RIP

She was at the BC/EFA Flea Market a few years ago---what a lovely lady! A sad way to start the new year...

Someone posted on ATC that the producers of CABARET tried to buy Jill out of her contract after the Walter Kerr review came out. That is not true. She stayed with the production for 2 1/2 years and Jill was never asked to leave (buy out) the production.

Jill's my best friend. She had health problems the past decade or so, and, while they COULD'VE been monitored, she was terribly afraid of doctor's & hospitals.

IF you're curious, and you live here in NYC, there'll be a memorial service for her this Thursday - 3 Feb '11 @ 3.30p (329 W. 42nd St) Holy Cross Church.

Such a lovely talented lady. I did get to see her in CABARET on Broadway. She will always be the 'perfect' Sally Bowles for me. Coming in for the memorial. She was very lucky to have you as her friend. I have heard some wonderful things about Jill.
