Hopefully this isn't true---but while I was at Mary Poppins yesterday, one of the members of the audience, sitting next to me, told me that a couple of the theaters closed due to a bedbug problem. She didn't know the names. Does anyone know if this is true--and if so, which theaters? (I have tix for a couple of shows coming up)

I'm pretty sure we would have heard if that were true. People here would have let us know of cancelations, and there would have been a story about it. The theaters would have to announce the info to keep patrons from showing up erroneously.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

A few MOVIE theatres were closed. The AMC on 42nd Street was one of them.

The David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center also had a breakout:

Hopefully that's what this woman was referring to. (she just said "theaters and pointed outside)

Our local news just came on and said "Guess what's in Lincoln Center". I am assuming it is bed bugs because they said it wasn't good. hey haven't done the story yet.

Okay...if these things are so hard to kill...how are we not ALL going to eventually get them...?

Bedbugs, satirical content, fat load-in contracts...

Is there no end of cataclysm that can close a show in NYC?

Maybe I'll give Duane Reade bed bug detection kits as holiday gifts this year.

That article doesn't lie. My apartment is usually packed with friends and not friends who claim they're friends trying to crash for a free night in NYC. Now I just tell them all my building has bedbugs and they stay home. I've never had so much peace and quiet before in my life.

Maybe if bedbugs come to theatres, ticket prices will finally go down! Come one come all, I say!
