She has left the rehabilitation facility and is now recovering at her parents home. Here is what her mother's attorney has to say:
"Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery," says a statement from lawyer Tamar Arminak. "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day."
"She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design," the statement continues. "She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."
"Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared."
I wish her the best and am so glad to hear this. I hope she goes to college and starts a new life and find happiness.

She's right back to square one and threw away all of the progress she made of turning her life around. I don't buy what's she's saying about her father. I have nothing more to say.

Good job she doesn't owe you any sort of explanation, then. What is it to you? What do you really know about the facts? Why do you keep bumping this thread?
Morbid fascination with her problems certainly isn't helping her.
I really hope you do have nothing more to say, at least in this thread.

She hadn't thrown anything away, the poor girl is mentally ill, its a serious problem. The world nedds to leave her alone. She has a long and rough road ahead of her and we should be sending her positive thoughts, the constant media attention won't help, neither will the attitude that she is somehow in control of what she is saying etc. What a shame that post about her 'throwing it all away' was made on World Mental Health Day. Yeah, clearly they have either just not found what works yet or what had been working doesn't anymore. No shame in that and it is common, especially if it isn't something that has been dealt with for too long.
Clever name- Not sure about mental health issues for adults just diagnosed, but my parent's have friends with a daughter with bipolar disorder and I'm not sure what else. But, I'm fairly certain she cannot be alone and there were legal papers signed. I think she may only be 18 now. But, I know she was hospitalized a couple of times. That may be why.

After reading this article from people.com I did not realize how serious her conditions still were. I apologize for what I said. I was just mad because she had made so much progress from December 2013 to summer 2014. I was happy that she was starting to turn her life around.
The girl clearly needs help and I hope she gets it. People on Twitter are ruthless, call me crazy but I don't think mental health is something you joke about.
Can't stand jokes about mental health or people passing judgement on people with mental health. I've suffered from manic depression, severe health anxiety and self harmed for years. Everyday is a painful battle for those of us who go through this and the ones who love is. We are currently touring a play here in the UK taking on mental illness like never before. I truly wish one day every person will understand fully the damage it can do. I so hope Amanda can accept and focus on a way to help her live her life whilst battling this. I also hope she had a truly fantastic support network around her.
