In The Heights, In The Cinemas, But Not In Hackney, Sadly

Well, London has yet to get a production of 'In The Heights' after the limited season at Hackney was lost along with the theatre itself.
But not all is lost, Universal Pictures are bringing it to the big silver screen!

I think it will get a run... after the film... if it sells. It's all in the movie gods hands now!

A show that works on stage does not mean it will work on the screen, this will be the next 'Phantom of the Opera' rather than 'Mama Mia'.

I do think though that In The Heights is a show that could really work on screen. I just hope they don't cut Blackout/Champagne/When the Sun Goes Down. Blackout has the potential to be amazing on screen, it completely blew me away when I saw it last year, would rate it as one of the best act 1 closers ever.

Oh come on people, this is far more accesible for regular movie goers than many of the musicals turn movies. Hip Hop, Latin Heat, Street talk, Rap.

I think it will do well
